Winter Themes for your Bullet Journal + 6 Cover Page Ideas! -

Winter is coming up fast, where I live its already getting so cold! I’m hoping to get just a little bit more warm weather before the snow is here to stay. This year hasn’t been all that kind with the temperatures now that I think of it, t least not where I come from! Anyways its mid October already and Christmas will be here before you know it! Now that I think of it I really should start Christmas shopping, no doubt if I don’t I will procrastinate it until the very last moment and be rushing! I’ve been slowly learning to shop earlier, I can’t say I care for sifting through the crowds as it gets closer and closer to Christmas day! What about you, do you shop early or do you leave it all until the very end? So I bet you are thinking about your bullet journal themes for the coming month! Well you”ve come to the right spot, I’ve got a bunch of Christmas and Winter themes, doodles and cover page ideas for you to get your mind going for what you will create in the coming months! I’m a very visual person and maybe you are too, if I’m just thinking of things in my head its alot harder for me to conceptualize it than if it was right in front of me to have my eyes on it! So here is a list of themes you can use to get that bullet journal filled out! Snowflakes/Snowing Snowy Houses Skates/Skating Snowballs Hot Chocolate Sledding Skiing/Snow Boarding Snowy Mountains Stars/ Night Sky Snowmen Santa Clause Presents Toys Reindeer Christmas Trees Christmas Ornaments Christmas lights Icicles Igloos Stockings Gingerbread men Gingerbread House Wreaths Mistletoe Candy Canes Snow Globes Gift Tags Mittens/Scarves/Toques Fireplace Snow Angels The New Year Fireworks Penguins Polar Bears Blue, Purple, Grey or Black Gradient Thats about all I can think of for some general themes. You could also look to some famous Christmas movies to find some inspiration for what you should draw in your bullet journal for the coming winter and holiday season, like: Home Alone The Nightmare before Christmas Elf A Christmas Carol A Charlie Brown Christmas Frosty the Snowman Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer The Grinch I feel those are some that would be easier to draw, not that I’ve seen every single Christmas movie there is, so you may be able to think of some others that would work great for you! Now that you are on your way to being topic-inspired for your bullet journal I’d like to give you a hand on some doodles that fall under the same category that you could use in your own layouts! I mostly used my Crayola Supertips to colour this in but realized as I was doing it I should have gone for some finer tipped markers as there were a lot of small spaces to get into! And now I’d like to share with you some cover pages that I have come up with that you could recreate too! I like this simple black winter theme. I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to write December in black and then used to give it a bit of a shadow look and give it some depth. Then I used some clear stamps and little black ink pad (seen in the picture) to make the trees and snowflakes, quick, easy and looks great! A little bit more of the same concept, except adding some more color to it, I really like all the different blues in this one. It’s even more simple than the previous cover page as I simply wrote the month name on (gotta practice that brush lettering!) and hand drew all the snowflakes in. Takes a little more time this was but still a nice simple cover page! A nice Christmas cover page! I picked a different front for this one, gotta love dot journals, getting everything in line is a sinch! If I were to draw this on plain white paper I’m sure I would have made it lop-sided! The tree and presents were all handdrawn and colored in with my Tombows again. I like that they don’t bleed or show through the other side of my page like some other markers I have do! I think this might be my favourite one of the bunch! Purple stars or you could almost look at them as fireworks for the new year! I just drew a circle in pencil on the page and drew the stars all around to get a nice even circle then erased it when I was all done. This one has a few different, techniques I guess you would say, going on in it. First I added the washi tape to the top and bottom of the page. Then I used a few pink brush pens to draw a circle on a piece of laminated blank paper. Then I wet a paint brush and swirled it around on top of the marker and then stuck it to the cover page to get this water colour effect! Then a drew a couple pink snowflakes and stamped on the rest. Not your typical winter colours but I think it works nicely! I started this one by stamping the blue background using a round stamper then wrote in the month and outlined it a bit with a white gelly roll pen. I had some white ink and I wasn’t too sure how it would show up but decided to give it a try here. After I initially stamped it it looked pretty good but I noticed after it dried it faded a bit and was less noticeable. But I’m note sure how it would show if I stamped it on something much darker. So I’ll have to give it a try on something black! Hi. I’m Nicki! Just a girl who was looking to turn her procrastination into productivity and tie it all up with some creativity.
